TDK Sports Kayak Club (TSKC) is Kerala's first kayak club and has a strong focus on developing all aspects of kayaking as a sport and recreational activity in Kerala. We are volunteer run and provide a safe and inclusive environment where you can learn good kayaking skills, receive coaching from experienced & qualified members, access structured training programs, compete in club & paddlesport events and gain experience & knowledge of our beautiful waterways of Kerala. We're not all about competition! We have a large contingent of recreational and social members. All are welcome at TSKC.

What are the operating hours for the TDK Sports Kayak Club ?
TDK Sports Kayak Club will be open from 6 am to 6 pm, all days in the week.
By what time should I report to the club ?
All members should report to the club 30 minutes before the start of their Kayaking session. for eg: If your Kayaking Session is between 6 am and 8 am, you should report by 5:30 am at the club.
How do I book my Kayaking session slots?
All members need to call or Whatsapp us to check the availability and confirm the Kayaking slots. There are totally 6 slots in one day - 6am to 8am, 8am to 10am, 10am to 12 noon, 12 noon to 2pm, 2pm to 4pm, 4pm to 6pm. Each member can book maximum of 2 slots in one day based on the availability i.e they can do maximum of 4 hours of Kayaking in one day. The 2 slots can be continuous eg: 6am to 10am or 10am to 2pm.
Do I need to know swimming in order to do Kayaking?
Swimming is not mandatory to participate in Kayaking. However it is mandatory to wear Life Jackets at all times during Kayaking. Life Jackets will be provided by the club.
Will there be training for Kayaking sessions ?
Basic Training will be provided prior to the Kayaking Activity. We do plan to conduct intensive training sessions on a regular basis which will be optional paid training sessions.
What are the benefits of Kayaking ?
Kayaking is a popular Olympic water sport having numerous benefits. It helps in improving overall physical fitness and burn calories, strengthens upper body, core muscles & legs and increases your endurance.
What are the other benefits of joining the club ?
You will become a part of member and community network and can Kayak in groups which will help you in socializing with other team members and make new paddling partners. Events & Trainings are being planned on a regular basis. You will get a chance to contribute in voluntary activities as a part of our Kayak community. Apart from that, you can avail special discounts in TDK Sports Merchandise and paid events / trainings reserved for members only.
Will the club will be open throughout the year ?
Yes, the club will be opened throughout the year except in the circumstances when the water level of the river rises to dangerous levels or an alert is issued by the Government departments to not operate water sports. Members shall not paddle during conditions of low visibility or during thunderstorms
Do I need to sign any documents before starting or after ending the trip ?
All the members need to sign 'Liability Waiver Form' and also enter basic trip details - departure date and time, anticipated return, contact info in the Kayak Usage Log Book. After completing the session they need to sign out in the Log Book.
What are waste management policies of the Club ?
The Kayaking Station and river area is a strict "NO PLASTIC ZONE". Members are advised to carry their own water bottles, snacks, sunscreen and caps and strictly advised not to dump any waste in the park or the river.
What will happen if the equipment get damaged ?
Incase of any unfortunate damage to our equipments, our team will assess the extent of the damage and will bill the members as per the actual cost of the repair or replacement.
